Discover the charming village of Montmartre and the artists who made Paris the artistic capital of the world. Cabaret dancers such as La Goulue or Nini Patte en l’air who have inspired Toulouse-Lautrec and Renoir, the windmills painted by Van Gogh and Monet and the studio where Picasso invented cubism remembering Demoiselles in Avignon. The free sprit of rebels and starving artists still blows all over the hill.

Montmartre is a hill in the north of Paris, primarily known for the white domed basilica of the Sacré Coeur and as a major artistic and nightlife district in town. Rebels and early feminists use to live there among starving artists such as Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh or Picasso. Later, bohemian artists replaced the now famous and world recognized masters.

Being outside the ancient city limits, it was a tax free land that quickly became a popular drinking area; an old time tradition of wine making established the reputation! It is now a very trendy place to live, a very special atmosphere floats in the air. Far away from the mandatory tourist circuit, the time has come to enjoy in company the authenticity of a genuine village within Paris, to stroll along the side street, meet the colorful locals and their weird habits and get to know why the hill inspires romance, why so many movies take place in the district and what has inspired the famous or infamous painters that once lived in Montmartre leaving an indelible trace.

All tours run in all types of weather and will not be cancelled because of rain.
