Don’t expect a landmark, a souvenir shop or a tourism office around. Rue de Dames (ladies street) is the heart of real Parisian district where we, Parisians, live. A mixed crowd of students, young families and old times locals happily live is this neighborhood near Place de Clichy.

Clichy and Batignolles were 2 villages of the immediate suburbs of Paris, outside the tax border of the city and became Parisian « arrondissements » in 1860, as Paris needed to expend. You will immediatly notice the atmosphere and the architecture of these late years of the 1800′s mixed with the festive mood of 2013! Along the narrow sidewalks, lots of bars and small restaurants, vintage stores and small boutiques. Nothing too fancy, reasonnable prices but quality!

My favorites:

Café Marcel

Famous for the hamburger with Foie Gras and the 3 years old Sardines cans

23 rue des dames 75017 Paris

Phone: 01 44 56 97 70

Les vins des Dames

Frédérique will share with you her passion for wines, she has a great selection meet any budget

42 rue des Dames 75017 Paris

Phone: 01 43 87 91 79

Price range: €€ to €€€

The place to avoid: le Bistro des Dames, the patio might be nice but the food is so so and the service is dreadfull!
